38 GRAND DESIGN: HALLOWEEN

This Halloween, 38 returns. We are completely transforming the space at Trans-Pecos into an immersive 2 floor heaven / hell experience with the help of lighting wizard Nitemind and installations from the dream girls themselves Me + You, complete with haunted soundscape and projections in the backyard by Team 38 and Joey Chriqui. Going until 6 am, we are featuring godfather DJ of New York, Nicky Siano, resident DJ of the legendary Studio 54 and founder of The Gallery, as well as over 15 other artists across two floors.

NICKY SIANO (RESIDENT DJ OF STUDIO 54 & THE GALLERY)
In 1971, at the age of 16, Nicky Siano got his first DJing gig, with the help of Robin Lord, and in 1972 he opened The Gallery in SoHo, Manhattan with his older brother Joe Siano. At the time he was considered to be the best DJ in the city and this helped the club attain its legendary status. New York Magazine called it "one of the five most visually breathtaking nightspots of our time". When Steve Rubell opened Studio 54 he asked Nicky to be one of its resident DJs, so while remaining at The Gallery at weekends during the week he could be seen at Studio 54 or one of the other now legendary discos that appeared at that time.
